“The virus of corruption has infected from the highest to the lowest in the hierarchy and it is salvaged by the political bosses. Most politicians and candidates do not regard elections as merely a process that yields public office or Governamental power. They use election to amass money not only for their parties and themselves but for the future elections as well. Conversion of black money through politicians is extremely easy and followed my its possessors. This complete erosion of honesty has greatly affected the attempts of Government servants to practise honesty, for an honest officer has always suffered at the hands of politicians, who force him to act corruptly in their or their party’s interest.”
